I will be recording my first full band soon, using Slate Trigger on the drums, and was planning on using Ozone extensively, but if I'm having so much trouble with only guitar and MIDI drums, it looks like I may need to upgrade computers before attempting to record the band. I haven't had trouble before using Ozone 5, only using EZ Drummer and guitar tracks with some stock and free EQ/compression. PT is running at 1024 and 90% with no other applications running in the background, wifi turned off, and the hard drive was recently formatted so it's clean. I am running a track of EZ Drummer and Ozone 5 Advanced on an aux of two guitar tracks. I am using a 2006 Intel Core 2 Duo MBP with 3GB RAM (the max for this model), and encountering constant 'CPU overload' errors in Pro Tools 10.
